Just a day after Trent Reznor went back to Tweeting after a three-month break, Lily Allen has reportedly quit social networking altogether, giving up on Twitter, MySpace, e-mail and blogging. The 24-year-old 'Smile' chanteuse has also supposedly given away her MacBook and her BlackBerry as a means to avoid temptation and described herself as a "neo-Luddite" in her very last Tweet.

"We thought she was joking but it's been a month since she last Twittered," one of Lily's pals told newspaper the Mirror. "Before then you could always get a response from her straight away."

Now that Allen has turned her back on technology, friends have to try to reach her either on an old cell phone without e-mail capability or on her stationary home phone.

"No matter what time of day or where she was, she'd be glued to her BlackBerry," the friend laments. "Now you have to leave a message on her home answer phone."
