Rock troubadour Brendan Benson is letting fans into the inner workings of his creative process with four weekly webisodes on Spinner, in which he talks about his fourth album, 'My Old, Familiar Friend.' In his second video, Benson names some of his biggest influences and recalls the moment that made him a musician.

"I remember when I discovered the Blues, it was like I discovered a new planet. It gave me permission to say what I wanted to say, to say what's in your heart."
