Duran Duran Go Shopping for Vinyl

Taking up space in an old bowling alley in San Francisco's famed Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, which was once ground zero for the hippie movement in the late 1960s, Amoeba Records is not only one of the largest independent record stores still standing -- it's also, perhaps, the most revered. When Duran Duran band members Simon Le Bon and John Taylor recently stopped in the store, during downtime on a local tour stop, Amoeba's staff put those boys on film to ask what exactly they were shopping for. The answer, it turns out, was vinyl. Lots and lots of vinyl.
Whereas Le Bon took the opportunity to stock up on multiple albums from classic rockers like Led Zeppelin and the Doors, Taylor went for fringe classics such as Public Image Ltd. and King Crimson. Perhaps unexpectedly, both bandmates went for a Free album. No word on whether or not they checked the bins for original pressings of their own back catalog.

What is the first album Simon talks about? I can't understand what they say or read the cover... Thanks.

Thanks TSJ for the info, early Duran Duran is some of my favorite music. It is interesting to know who influnced them. I like how Simon also mentions a very early Iggy Pop album, classic.
