Noel Gallagher Moving Ahead With Solo Career

Now that Noel Gallagher has parted ways with his kid brother Liam Gallagher and the Oasis moniker, the Britpop icon says he's ready to move ahead with a solo career.

At a party earlier in the week to celebrate the opening of the London club Chinawhite, the guitarist spoke of his desire to get to work on some new tunes.

"I'm looking forward to doing my own thing, bringing out my own music," the elder Gallagher told the Daily Mirror. "I'm glad that's what people want to hear."

"I am not thinking about much else, Oasis or Liam, I'm just having a good time," he added.

As for Liam, he also intends to continue making music, but despite previous rumours, he will not use the Oasis name. He has already released his first solo music, an unnamed track which has been used to help promote his recently launched clothing line, Pretty Green.
