Road Report: The Gay Blades Hit the Road With Electric Six

Unabashed rock duo The Gay Blades are currently on tour with Detroit's own Electric Six and Millions of Brazillians. They will be documenting their six-week trek across the U.S. in support of their debut album, 'Ghosts,' with webisodes all along the way. In his initial entry, frontman Clark Westfield gets to know his tourmates during the first week of the long journey.

When bands who are unfamiliar with each other tour together, the outcome is never easily predictable. As with all relationships, sometimes people go together like oil and water, and sometimes ineffable bonds form. We have just begun a six-week U.S. tour with Detroit roustabouts Electric Six, and much like the first week of classes in a new school, we are just trying not to make fools of ourselves. I do have a feeling that however it does turn out, we won't be bored. Hope to see you out at the rodeo ...
