Pixies, 'La La Love You' (Live in Paris) -- Video Premiere

Frank Black of the PixiesEver since their sold-out comeback tour in 2004, Pixies "reunions" have come around periodically, with their latest regrouping in honor of the 20th anniversary of their landmark 1989 album, 'Doolittle.' In the wake of a predictably successful run abroad, the US leg of the tour will kick off in Los Angeles on Nov. 4. The band will spend the following month taking 'Doolittle' to American audiences nationwide.

"I guess we're kind of like a Led Zeppelin that tours," frontman Black Francis (aka Frank Black) tells Spinner. "More accurately, we would be like a Velvet Underground that tours. We have a catalog and it has a certain cache and it seems to always be kind of 'current' over and over ... some of it, anyway, has a certain timeless quality to it."

On that note, two decades after 'Doolittle' first hit shelves, the Pixies are performing the album in its entirety. The set list also features the original bonus tracks and B-sides totaling 21 songs in all. 12 of those songs are accompanied by short films that were created specifically for this tour, projected onto a massive backdrop video screen in conjunction with an artsy production. In other words, if it ain't broke, don't fix it -- but nobody's gonna complain about adding a sick light show.
