Glasvegas Play First UK Show Since Frontman's Disappearance

Glasvegas played their first UK show since the short-lived disappearance of mainman James Allan in London on Friday night (Oct. 30).The acoustic show was the first time Allan had appeared on stage since missing the Mercury Music Prize awards ceremony in September. He later turned up in New York five days later on the eve of the band's tour to the US.
Allan and guitarists Rab Allan played eight songs during the acoustic set at London's Parker McMillan venue as part of the This Feeling club night.
"I'm trying to think of a way to say goodbye," the frontman told the crowd during according to NME, "but this is the best way I can. It means a lot you coming to see the band, so... I f------ love you."
The gig came as the band prepared to travel to Los Angeles to record their second album.
James Allan had agreed to play the gig to help a friend who was trying to raise $1m (£629,000) for cancer charities by running the New York Marathon on Sunday (Nov. 1).
