Weeks after Jack White waxed philosophic at Dublin's Trinity College, goth-pop favorite Patrick Wolf will also hit the college circuit when he takes the podium at Oxford Union. The lecture, to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10, will be followed by a Q&A session. That means fans lucky enough to attend the lecture will get to probe Wolf about the impetus for his upcoming single, 'Damaris', due on Dec. 15. Wolf is the latest musician in a line of guest lecturers to visit the prestigious university this semester, including rock dignitary Peter Hook, the founding Joy Division and New Order bassist, and indie up-and-comers the Mystery Jets.
Wolf will also headline the London Palladium on Nov. 15, where he will be joined by one-time Soft Cell mastermind and Atari Teenage Riot veteran Alec Empire. If that's not enough, 'The Conqueror' -- the companion album to Wolf's acclaimed 2009 disc 'The Bachelor' -- is expected to be released in the first half of 2010.
