Noel Gallagher has said he may give up the bright lights of London and move back to his native Manchester. The former Oasis frontman, 42, has said London has "lost its spark." Gallagher moved to London in 1994 as Oasis began to make their name.
Gallagher told the London Evening Standard, "I'm leaving London to go back up north, to Manchester. I've been advised to do a Rod Stewart, as in a tax exile, but I don't want to do it."
Gallagher lives with partner Sara MacDonald and their two-year-old son, Donovan.
Gallagher Sr is expected to carve out a solo career now that his days as the leader of Oasis are over. He walked out of the band after the latest of many bust ups with brother Liam minutes before the band were supposed to play a gig in Paris. Noel then made it public that he could no longer work with his younger sibling.
Liam has also vowed to continue making music, but whether it will be with the depleted ranks of Oasis remains to be seen.
