Road Report: The Gay Blades Become Renaissance Men on Their Day Off

Unabashed rock duo The Gay Blades are currently on tour with Detroit's own Electric Six and Millions of Brazillians. They will be documenting their six-week trek across the U.S. in support of their debut album, 'Ghosts,' with webisodes all along the way. In the band's second entry, The Gay Blades spend their day off at a North Carolina renaissance fair, relaxing with knights, their camera and plenty of action.

We tour a lot -- in fact, chances are we've come to your city at some point during the past two years. When we have the rare day off, The Gay Blades will fall back in a cheap hotel room and ingest the best programming TBS or TNT has to offer. Sometimes, however, we treat ourselves and our video camera to the unusual attractions that have been scattered across this great land of ours. This week, we bring you the renowned Renaissance Fair just north of Charlotte, NC. Armed with festive seasonal brewed beverages and turkey limbs that more closely resembled medieval weapons, we made our way through a forgotten land filled with knights, ladies-in-waiting, minstrels, thespians and, of course, a ton of creepy nerds. Enjoy!
