Orenda Fink, 'That Certain-Something Spring' -- Video Premiere

orenda fink'That Certain-Something Spring,' the latest video from folk singer-songwriter Orenda Fink is rife with haunting imagery. Shot in her hometown of Birmingham, Ala., the Azure Ray member stays mostly center screen, surrounded by a dark, candlelit room. Fink tells Spinner, "'That Certain-Something Spring' was shot in [Director] Chris Lawson's living room. Most of the characters had their faces obscured with dirty old cloth, so the actors were real troopers that night."

Making a guest appearance in the clip is an old dog with expressive eyes that add an air of melancholy. "Chris's dog, Merrick, a 17-year-old pit bull with cancer, took a lead role," Fink says. "He seemed to know exactly what was going on and hammed it up for the camera even more than the human actors." Check out the eerie video, as well as the impressive canine acting chops, after the jump.
