Florence and the Machine Bring the Woods to Church Gig

The Sun newspaper has declared Florence Welch "bark-ing mad" due to her latest stage set plans, due to unveiled at the Union Chapel venue in Islington, north London on Nov. 22.

The paper reported the Florence and the Machine singer has teamed up with set designers to turn the chapel into a veritable forest when she performs at charity Mencap's Little Noise sessions. Apparently Florence has "ordered a lorry-load of vegetation for her headlining slot at the eagerly-anticipated run of intimate concerts."

A source is reported to have said "Florence will literally be bringing the outdoors indoors. It's the kind of flamboyant move we've come to expect from her. It should make for a spectacular evening."

Florence plays with her band the Machine as part of the nine-day series of shows which will also feature Editors, Alexandra Burke, Mika, Lostprophets and Taio Cruz. Aphids, spiders and ladybirds may also be present, thanks to Welch...
