mariah Carey"People never want to let go of the whole 'Glitter' [thing] ... I'm like, 'It's eight years later, people.'" --Mariah Carey

In a recent interview, Mimi defended her acting abilities, which, if reviews are to be believed, have improved dramatically with her role in 'Precious.'

please, no more ads. I hate companies leaving ads on comment site. Can regular people ever get a break from advertisers?

I'm with Jon on this. Who cares about crap your selling. If your young and beautiful, why bother with that stuff. Go get a life and stop with the "poor pitiful me" crap. That's what real people do.

i don't care much for mariah she sounds very demanding but i love her music. I didn't think the movie was as bad as people say it is and it is about her life which told about how she got started. maybe she should just stick to singing..

You just made my day. That was absolutely classic. Why don't you get taken on to do that professionally?
    What an antidote to Spam.
It is the best comment I have ever seen on these things and the best retort anyone could ever give to the constant and endless Spam that tirelessly gets through day after day.
I would shake your hand but I know where its been ;) x

I liked "glitter"! I think for people to enjoy it, you had to just sit back and let the movie come to you. Unfortunately, reviews were against expectations, not against actual performance and story.

rixin1004, my god real men don't go on the internet and have a web site to find a women and if your that rich there shouldn't be a problem...and rich men don't go around saying their rich. which leads us to believe that your not!! get a real life. so it must be something else if you can't get a women the real way! and NO THANK YOU.. good luck with that

I didn't see Glitter, never even wanted to, but I do want to see Precious. They keep saying how ugly Mariah looked in the movie, but all I saw was Mariah without makeup. It really wasn't a huge difference to me. Makeup has always done wonders for those who are not natural beauties.

Heres a news flash...Glitter was not a bad movie. It was a fun movie with some tension and drama in it. People have started this "Dogma" of saying negative things about it. It came out too close to the tragic 9/11 attacks and people were not going to the movies that week. Mariah has so much success that some people want to count SOMETHING as a failure and tag her name it. She is a winner because she always puts herself out there. The soundtrack has a wonderful song on it called "Never too Far." Check it out!

I agree "Glitter" was an enjoyable movie. Was good entertainment and isn't that what a movie is supposed to do entertain?
