The final tracklisting of the tribute album for New Zealand indie godfather Chris Knox -- who suffered a massive stroke at his home in Auckland in June -- has been confirmed. 'Stroke -- Songs for Chris Knox'', which will raise money for the musician and his family, will be released in New Zealand on Monday (Nov. 16) and in the US next February.

The album features covers of some of Knox's material from a three-decade-long career in music. Artists involved include Neil Finn, the Clean, Jay Reatard, A.C. Newman, the Verlaines, Lambchop and Lou Barlow.

Knox's continuing recovery has been updated on a blog written by his friend Roy. No precise details have been given about Knox's development after the stroke – which affected both his mobility and speech -- but the blog has spoken of continued improvements.

The CD tracklisting is as follows:

    CD1 (Yellow Disc)

Jay Reatard -- 'Pull Down the Shades'
    The Checks -- 'Rebel'
The Bleeding Allstars -- 'Ain't It Nice'
Peter Gutteridge -- 'Don't Catch Fire'
The Chills -- 'Luck or Loveliness'
David Kilgour -- 'Nothing's Going to Happen'
The Crying Wolfs -- 'All My Hollowness to You'
    Stephin Merritt -- 'Beauty'
    Portastatic -- 'Nostalgia's No Excuse'
    The Mint Chicks -- 'Crush'
Jay & Sam Clarkson -- 'I've Left Memories Behind'
Sky Green Leopards -- 'Burning Blue'
    Shayne Carter -- 'The Slide'
    Pumice -- 'Grand Mal'
    Hamish Kilgour -- 'Knoxed Out'

    CD2 (Black Disc)

Boh Runga -- 'Not Given Lightly'
Red&Zeke ft. Bill Doss and Neil Cleary -- 'Bodies'
    Bill Callahan -- 'Lapse'
    Genghis Smith -- 'Growth Spurt'
    Yo La Tengo -- 'Coloured'
A.C. Newman -- 'Dunno Much About Life But I Know How to Breathe'
    Alec Bathgate -- 'Glide'
    Don McGlashan -- 'Inside Story
    Lambchop -- 'What Goes Up'
    The Mountain Goats -- 'Brave'
The Tokey Tones (and Friends) -- 'Round These Walls'
The Bats -- 'Just Do It'
Will Oldham -- 'My Only Friend'
The Finn Family -- 'It's Love'
Jordan Luck -- 'Becoming Something Other'
    The Verlaines -- 'Driftwood'
Lou Barlow -- 'Song of the Tall Poppy'
The Nothing -- 'Napping in Lapland'
    Tall Dwarfs -- 'Sunday Song'

A benefit gig is also taking place at Auckland's venue The King's Arms on Nov. 20, with Dimmer (featuring Shayne Carter), Don McGlashan, David Kilgour, The Bellbirds, & The Pyjama Party, featuring Neil Finn.
