Clash's Mick Jones Giving Away Latest Carbon/Silicon Album

Clash icon Mick Jones will again offer fans free music when his current band, Carbon/Silicon, drops its latest album, 'The Carbon Bubble', via the group's official site on Saturday. Carbon/Silicon -- Jones' endeavor with onetime Generation X member Tony James -- has released all of its material to fans via free download since its 2002 inception.'The Carbon Bubble' will be available to fans worldwide starting at noon. In addition to the album's 12 tracks, which were all written by Jones and James, fans can download the complete cover artwork for the project, which includes high resolution booklet artwork for each track.
The legendary punks first collaborated on the track 'M.P. Free' seven years ago and have gone on to release three albums as free downloads during their tenure together. Jones and James, who also had careers in the '80s with Big Audio Dynamite and Sigue Sigue Sputnik respectively, are following up their 2008 digital LP 'The Last Post'.
