Peter Gabriel Gives More Detail on Arcade Fire, Radiohead Covers

More details of Peter Gabriel's much anticipated covers album have been released. It has previously been reported that the album, entitled 'Scratch My Back', would feature as-yet-unnamed songs from alternative luminaries such as Radiohead and Arcade Fire. The album is set to feature 12 tracks and will be released on Jan. 25 next year. It will be the first instalment in a planned series of releases that will see the singer and other artists reinterpret each other's songs.
Gabriel has chosen, amongst others, to cover Radiohead's 'Street Spirit', 'Flume' by Bon Iver, 'Heroes' by David Bowie and 'My Body is a Cage' from Arcade Fire's 'Neon Bible' album. John Metcalfe, formerly of Factory Records band the Durutti Column, collaborated with Gabriel to create the scores for the album.
