What's That Song During Izzie and Alex's Talk on 'Grey's Anatomy'?

'End of All Time,' by Stars of Track and Field

If you've been following 'Grey's Anatomy' at all this season, you've probably noticed some big changes. There's been the merging of two hospitals -- and with it an influx of new characters who are carefully being written into more prominent roles as the plot line advances. Seattle Grace Hospital's morale has been low, title character Meredith Gray is hardly ever her "dark and twisty" self anymore, and Izzie Stevens literally left town out of nowhere. Last night's episode followed suit at first, as another new doctor, Teddy Altman, was introduced; but we also finally saw the return of Izzie.

In came the rock ballad 'End of All Time,' by Stars of Track and Field. For a three-minute stretch, the song backed a montage that consisted of a difficult surgery and a painful reunion between Izzie and her husband, Alex Karev. As Izzie and Alex made hurtful accusations against each other, the three-piece band's tune -- off the new album 'A Time for Lions' -- provided a fitting soundtrack. The song -- practically tailor-made for an emotional 'Grey's' moment -- is soaring with lyrics that touch upon the idea of maybe, in time, making it through all those bumps in the road.
