It seems the King Khan and BBQ Show can blame hallucinogenic mushrooms for their weekend woes. But instead of being plagued by visions of evil garden gnomes, the garage rockers' trouble was with the law, as they got busted along with their tour manager in Oak Grove, Ky. for possession.Fans at St. Louis' Off Broadway on Thursday became alarmed when the band missed its early evening soundcheck and failed to show up later in the night. On Friday, the band's publicist told Pitchfork that the duo " had some kind of hold up in [Tennessee] and are missing tonight's and possibly all shows this weekend."
Later, the Riverfront Times reported that tour manager Kristin Klein was charged with driving with a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance. Subsequent to that, the Kentucky New Era revealed that Arish "King" Khan and Klein were arrested "for allegedly possessing hallucinogenic mushrooms" and that Khan was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance, according to a spokesperson for the Christian County jail.
