Jack White's label output just gets more and more prolific. On top of his bands the White Stripes, the Raconteurs and the Dead Weather, White has put out a remix featuring Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking and has now begun production work with the Queen of Rockabilly, Wanda Jackson. In a new interview with NewsOK's Gene Triplett, Jackson, 72, revealed she was en route to White's Nashville studio and was a fan of the White Stripes mastermind's production work on Loretta Lynn's 'Van Lear Rose' disc. "They had a super album, but he didn't have her do anything different, you know," the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer said of Lynn's Grammy-winning effort. "She just did her little Loretta Lynn songs. But he told me he's gonna stretch me some, so we'll see. We'll talk later."
According to Wanda, White's plan is to lead the project with a digital single before issuing a full-length release. Jackson's last album, 'Heart Trouble,' counted such luminaries as Elvis Costello, the Cramps and Dave Alvin.
