Florence and the Machine has been added to the ever-expanding line-up of T4's Stars of 2009 event scheduled to take place at London's legendary Earls Court Arena on Nov. 29. The scaffold-climbing singer and her Mercury Prize-nominated outfit will join a stellar bill that has already confirmed appearances from electro poppet La Roux and the arena-filling Kasabian.
The gig will add what has been an incredibly busy and high profile year for singer Florence Welch and her band. Having blasted into 2009 as part of the BBC's Sound of 2009, Florence and the Machine scooped the Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Awards before going on to release their debut album, 'Lungs' and appearing at a number of the UK's top festivals including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and T In The Park.
'Lungs' is also set to be re-released on Nov. 30 in a four-disc expanded version. In addition to the original album, the collection will include two live sets and a collection of remixes, covers and rarities.
Kasabian, meanwhile, recently won Q magazine's Best Album for 2009 with their third LP 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum,' and are currently on an arena tour of the UK.
