Ozzy Osbourne says that he was okay with the fact that Paul McCartney refused to collaborate with him. In fact, Ozzy, who has been a lifelong Beatles fan and even went so far as to cover the Fab Four's 'In My Life' on 2005's 'Under Cover,' was flattered by the snub."Meeting Paul McCartney was f---ing phenomenal.," the original Black Sabbath frontman told UK magazine Heat of his run-in with Sir Paul. "I was in the studio at the same time as him, and tried to get him to play bass on one of my songs." But Macca politely ducked the opportunity to team up with the metal giant.
"He said he couldn't improve on the bass line that was there," Ozzy revealed. "I said, 'Are you kidding? You could piss on the record and I'd make it my life.'"

Or maybe because his glasses reminded Sir Paul of John... :)

As a fan of both gentlemenand their respective styles / taste of rock music I would prefer to believe only the best. Most likely Sir Paul just didn't have a moment.
Definately kewl that the Ozzman would ask for Sir Paul's company!!!

Having met Paul at the Long Beach Grand Prix in 2005 and having him invite me and my son to visit him in the recording studio in LA a week after the race I must say he is a great person with an amazing heart. He is a major influence and now friend to LA musician Aaron Schwoerer.
Paul is the best.

Maybe it's because Ozzy's daughter Kelly called McCartney "gay" in the press recently.

I'm just guessing that Paul was too busy at the moment, and I know he doesn't like to do things half assed. I also know he has great affection for Ozzy. I'll bet somewhere down the road, a collaberation happens!

while i thought the tv series about ozzie and family, was pretty good most of the time. his music i don't listen to. maybe paul felt the same. regardless of what he sung over the years, i find his music devil induced and paul may have felt the same. i know replies to my comment will go off on a rampage against Jesus. their choice who to follow is their's to make

Maybe it is because one is a real musician, and the other, Ozzie is just a groggy ex rock star......that really can only make noises.......not real music.

Back in their heyday, Black Sabbath was pretty incredible. Unfortunately, Ozzy burned himself out on hard drugs and now he sounds like he has about half a brain cell left. Rock 'n Roll is a young man's game, McCartney should give it up, too. You can't surpass the Beatles.

Apparently someone is trying to make something out of nothing.

At 67 years of age Sir Paul just may not be up to the challenge. He may have politely declined for just that reason. No snub, No Diss, just an aging rocker with arthritis in the fingers.

These comment sections need a number/letter hologram sign-in, so that those stupid "dialers" can't get in. I get so sick of their crap - and nobody answers them anyway, because they know they are nothing but scams!

Im surprised Ozzie remembered the encounter.

LMAO...Kelly is terrible. I love Ozzy but those non-talented kids rode his name to fame. Jack sux too.
