Rod Stewart Sued for $3.3 Million by Law Firm

Whether or not they think he's sexy, a California law firm wants Rod Stewart's money. According to E! Online, Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard & Shapiro made that clear with a lawsuit filed Tuesday against the English rock legend in Los Angeles for unpaid bills. The firm is seeking $3.3 million from the singer for money it claims Stewart owes for work on three cases. One of those turned out unfavorably for Rod the Mod when he was ordered to pay $2 million to the Rio hotel-casino in Las Vegas for a last minute cancellation back in December 2000. At the time, Stewart maintained he was unable to keep the commitment because he was still recovering from throat surgery.
In addition to that case, the firm wants payment for services rendered when it represented Stewart in a trademark infringement case and a separate lawsuit filed by a peeved concert promoter. Stewart has yet to comment on the case.
If he loses the suit, Stewart should be able to pay up now that his recent 'Soulbook' spent several weeks in the Top 10 album charts.

Since I purchased a copy of the "PARTY AT THE PALACE" DVD some years ago and noticed Rod Stewarts final bow at the end of his act, expressing a two finger gesture, which is a British equivelent of the north American one finger gesture, I have had a bad feeling about this Scottish laddy. His actions during the finale on stage were somewhat questionable as well, poor old KERMIT...See the DVD for yourselves. Some Scottish folk can't handle having money.
