Better get a new pair of mud boots and start stocking up on energy bars because Bonnaroo will return this coming June to its 700-acre homestead in Manchester, Tenn. From June 10 to 13, Bonnaroo will once again become the heartbeat of summer festival season with its endless array of 24-hour entertainment. In recent years the festival has increasingly become a cultural rite of passage and now its even on Santa's radar -- special holiday-rate pre-sale tickets will be available beginning Nov. 27 through the Bonnaroo website. In case Santa's workshop was hit by the recession, Bonnaroo will offer a five-part payment plan, at installments of $50 each, for Mr. and Mrs. Claus to get one of their coolest gifts in order.
While Bonnaroo 2010's line-up won't be announced until next year -- think "late January" -- past performers have included, well, just about everyone. Bruce Springsteen, Radiohead, Phish, Neil Young, Metallica, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Widespread Panic and Pearl Jam are just a fraction of the talent that has rocked the festival. Heck, so many artists want to play Bonnaroo that ever-animated, ever-elusive folk singer Gary Chardonnay even wrote a song just about the pre-sale, called 'Lisa Go Stick It, I Got My Bonnaroo Ticket.' Check it out in the exclusive video announcement below.
