No sooner have 70s rockers the Faces said that they'd perform next year without original frontman Rod Stewart, now Aerosmith have announced that they're on the lookout for new singer to replace Steven Tyler amid fears that he's fallen off the wagon again.Speaking with Billboard.com drummer Joey Kramer said: "Steven, he isolates more and more all the time."
He continued: "That's what gives it away to me that there's something going on. I don't know what that is. I know he's made some not so great choices and he's got some negative influences around him now. I love the guy. I just want to see him get some help."
For his part, Tyler has asked for a two-year break from the band in order to focus on his solo career but his request hasn't received the response he was looking for from his band mates.
Speaking to Classic Rock magazine, Kramer complained: "I can't sit around for two years and not play my drums."
That leaves the option of guest vocalists to take part in the band's 40th anniversary celebrations next year. Guitarist Brad Whitfield said: "Hopefully, we'll do something creative and push the boundaries of what we do, maybe make some new music, not just go out there and be, like, an Aerosmith cover band."
Tyler cleaned up in 1986 after years of drug abuse but re-entered rehab again last year.

You can't tour The Faces or Aerosmith withour Rod or Steve. Why do you think Led Zeppelin didn't tour? No Robert Plant!

Cheeky!!! I could add, no Clash = no Joe Strummer, no Pink Floyd = no Richard Wright. But hey, you're right...no John Bonham (R.I.P.). Cheers Simon.
