Having previously recorded under the King Biscuit Time and Black Affair monikers ex-Beta Band front man Steve Mason is now set to release a solo album under his own name. The record, produced and mixed by Richard X, is entitled 'Boys Outside' and will be released in March 2010. Fans unable to wait until then will be able to download a track -- 'All Come Down' -- taken from the album on Dec. 7. The digital download will be made available through Mason's official website www.stevemasontheartist.com.
The album will be released on Mason's own label Black Melody and, if early demos are anything to go by, will see a return to his more pastoral, acoustic side following the dark techno pop of Black Affair's 2008 album 'Pleasure Pressure Point.'
