Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros have gone beyond the traditional concept of a music video with an ambitious project entitled SALVO!, a feature-length movie musical split into 12 visually striking segments. In the first, 'Desert Song,' singer (and former Ima Robot frontman) Alex Ebert confronts his father in a desert wasteland, followed by a series of hallucinations.Spinner also has an exclusive look at the second segment ('Kisses Over Babylon'), another avant-garde work befitting the music of the 10-piece folk-rock ensemble. In the clip, Ebert is sent to a water labor prison where he organizes an escape with his fellow inmates.
Watch the first two parts of SALVO! after the jump.
