Sade will release her first album in a decade, titled 'Soldier of Love', on Feb. 8, 2010. The follow-up to 2000's 'Lovers Rock' was recorded in England and produced by her band -- which counts keyboardist Andrew Hale, guitarist/sax player Stuart Matthewman and bassist Paul S. Denman -- with longtime collaborator Mike Pela. While other details are still scarce, we do get a glance at the album art. Enjoy below.

SADE rocks. I hope this means she will tour for the album. Never has an artist been more an artist and less a prima dona. My hat goes of to her for living her life and being blessed with such a beautiful voice.

FYI Sade's real name is Helen. She gives me the sweetest taboo.
SamBlobat 11-25-2009
Her full name is Helen Folasade Adu. Look at the last half of her second name...

Thanks for the warning!

I hope her new CD is better than her last one Lover's Rock. I've been a fan of Sade from day one, but "Lover's Rock" was a stinker.

Sade's greatest hits is one of my favorite cd's. Even though she doesn't have a great singing voice (such as Whitney or Mariah with the high octaves and runs and stuff) everything about her music just clicks. Maybe it's the groove of the music mixed with the song writing and the way she just smoothly puts it out there. I don't quite know what it is, but she is unique and I really like her and glad she's back.

I cant believe youre comparing Sade to Whitney Houston, and Mariah Scarey. Sade is in a different category, she doesnt have to yell and scream on stage, and do all these unecessary theatrics. Shes just herself, smooth, mellow, take it or leave it. If Sade wanted to perform like these popular culture driven females she could, but when youre singing why yell, it should just come out naturally and soft. If you have negative post, go some where else to post them, this is for fans of Sade not Haters, thanks.

I buy a lot of pirate or burned copies of music but i never do that with sade's music, she's practically the only one where i get the actual merchandise, i cherish it

I've always thought that Sade's voice was weak and was artifically enhanced on her recordings. My theory is that she took the decade off to get serious vocal training and that her forthcoming performances will be far better than her old ones.

Some amateur came up with this list because Tina Turner should be at the top not a washed up singer like Diana Ross who lost her voice long ago. Tina is still rockin and rollin and she is 70 looking and sounding fabulous!

Who cares! It will sound just like EVERY other song she has recorded. They all sound alike. Her music makes me depressed ans suicidal!
donaldwoolardat 11-25-2009
It will sound the same as all of her other music does, depressing!
SamBlobat 11-25-2009
If the songs sounds like Sweetest Taboo, Smooth Operator, By Your Side, or Is It A Crime, then I would very much want that CD.

Sade is a one of a kind artist. Pure. We have been waiting for this for 9 years, and i am sure it will be worth waiting every minute. Cannot wait until we have a chance to see and hear her live in concert.

When I read the title from the Welcome page, I said it got to be Sade! So happy to have her back, she's one of a kind.

Helen Folasade Abu is one of the true artists that came out of the dismal 80's musical scene. In fact, she and Madonna (may I forgive myself for including Madge in with Sade!!) along with Anita Baker were the three new artists from the 80's that had any long-term traction with audiences around the world in the world of R&B and Pop. Her first two singles, "Hang On To Your Love" and more notably, "Smooth Operator" set the tone and pace for other similarly talented chanteuses that came after her.

I mispelled Sade's last name. Change "Abu" to "Adu"
