'Gavin and Stacey' writer and actor James Corden has followed in the footsteps of Martha Wainwright and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole by becoming the third vocalist to sing with Snow Patrol for 'Set The Fire to The Third Bar'.He joined the band for the song at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Tuesday night (Nov. 24) after Snow Patrol front man Gary Lightbody heard Corden singing drunkenly in a bar.
Speaking to the BBC, Corden explained, "Gary and I were drunkenly singing together in a bar the other night and he said I should come and sing with them at the Albert Hall.
"I was so sure he wouldn't remember I said yes, and before I knew it I was getting calls about sound checks and everything.
"It's an honour to sing with one my favourite bands and I loved every single minute of being on stage with them."
Though Corden's part is usually sung by a woman, Lightbody said: "It doesn't always have to be a female guest vocalist. He was superb and knocked us out of the park."
The third and final season the hit comedy 'Gavin and Stacey' starts on BBC One on Thursday night (Nov. 26). The show has also been a Stateside success on BBC America.

Third vocalist to sing "Set the Fire to the Third Bar"? Poor Miriam Kaufman (wife of singer/songwriter Iain Archer) must be feeling invisible. She has probably sung with Snow Patrol more often than anyone else and yet gets overlooked. She's incredibly talented and as part of the extended Snow Patrol Reworked band is playing keyboards and vibes (xylophone) as well as singing.
