As speculation continues to mount over who is likely to join U2 as fellow Glastonbury Festival headliners next year (did someone mention Muse and the Rolling Stones?), organisers of the ninth Isle of Wight Festival have confirmed rapper Jay-Z and indie heroes the Strokes (pictured) are to close the show on Friday and Saturday nights respectively. No word has been heard from erstwhile Oasis leader Noel Gallagher as to his reaction over Jay-Z's appearance.Joining the will be special guests Blondie on the Saturday night while Sunday's special guest will be Pink.
Saturday night's Big Top headliner has been revealed as reformed rave duo Orbital and south-east London's kitchen sink dramatists Squeeze will headline for campers only on the Thursday night.
The 2010 Isle of Wight Festival will run from Jun. 11 to 13 at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight.
Tickets for the 2010 Isle Of Wight Festival will go on sale at 9am on Friday Dec. 4 and are priced at £150 for adult camping which includes entertainment in the campsite on Thursday night.
