Former Eurythmics guitarist Dave Stewart has donated a rare, vintage Gretsch guitar, which will be auctioned through the New York Post's Page Six Magazine. The 1950s axe was used throughout the band's career in the studio and onstage, and can even be seen in their video for 'Don't Ask Me Why.' Replete with the original touring flight case from his days with Annie Lennox, proceeds from the auction, which is open now, will benefit Stand Up To Cancer. "This guitar helped Annie and I write some beautiful tunes and had a front row seat to a lot some incredible performances," Stewart told Page Six Mag. "I am happy to know its most important legacy will be helping raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, a cause I deeply believe in."
In addition to Stewart's axe, fans can also bid on items available from CBS news anchor Katie Couric, actress America Ferrera and author Danielle Steele. Information on those items can be found here.
