In a nation that has been known to knight its rock stars, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown formally expressed his appreciation for Adele. Putting it down in writing, via a thank you note for uplifting his nation's spirits through the power of song, Brown calls the Grammy-winning Brit-soul siren "a light at the end of the tunnel."
