Oregon Ducks Video Censored by Campus Officials
- Posted on Dec 3rd 2009 2:30PM by James Sullivan
If the University of Oregon Ducks win the Rose Bowl this year, it's a good bet they won't be going to Disneyland. 'I Love My Ducks,' a popular online rap video made by three UO seniors, is being censored by campus officials because it features the school's mascot, a Donald Duck-like character under licensing agreement with the Walt Disney Co.
It's not that the school doesn't appreciate the rappers' artistry -- Ducks coach Chip Kelly loves the video so much, he invited the seniors to a meeting. "It's a great piece," a spokesman for the university's athletic department told a Eugene newspaper. "We would just like the duck removed from the video." Check out the "offending" clip after the jump.
