I didn't see the particular interview in question. But I've seen Mr. Brand on a number of talk shows and never found him to be the least bit amusing. Perhaps I would change my mind if I saw him in a movie where his words are written by someone else.

I love Russell Brand, but I don't think hosting the VMAs is a good fit for him. You could call him a lot of things, but I am surprised at the idea of him being mean and nasty.

What ever happened to Marth Quinn? ....and real music videos? MTV and VH1 can both bite me. "Music Television 1" and "Video Hits 1", what a joke! They have nothing more to do with the origional concept than Winnie The Pooh selling condoms. At least I sold my stock in these two corporate pigs before they screwed themselves. Too bad nobody can step up to the plate and replace these two with a genuine music video channel. Then again, this is 2009...what the hell should I expect?

russell brand is a sweet soul, highly articulate and witty. that's why he's always surrounded by hot girls. but most people are all about looks and no, he doesn't fit the usual 'only beautiful people should be on camera' mold and his accent can be a little too thick to understand his jokes so he gets lost in translation

MTV has gotten so full of crap and is not even entertaining. No talents like Russell Brand is prime example. Not funny, dimwitted, bottom feeder. One of the reasons I shut off the cable, don't bother with TV anymore and choose my entertainment elsewhere.
