Ron Wood Arrested for Allegedly 'Assaulting Girlfriend'

Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend, model Ekaterina Ivanova. According to reports, the 20-year-old Ivanova claimed the 62-year-old Wood attacked her during an argument on Wednesday night.

Wood was questioned by police in Claygate, Surrey in Southeast England after the incident, which allegedly took place in a street near the couple's home. Wood apparently spend the night in jail and was released on bail. A spokesman for the Stones confirmed the arrest but said the band would not be releasing a statement on the matter.

Surrey police released a brief statement, saying "We can confirm that a 62-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with a domestic incident," adding that "he has been released on bail till a date in January pending further inquiries."

The news comes just days after Ivanova allegedly spread rumors that the band would be touring in 2010. Fans have speculated that Wood was in danger of being kicked out of the group due to his penchant for partying. Wood has spent several stints in rehab and got divorced last year from his wife of 23 years, Jo, who caught him having an affair with Ivanova.

Ok Paul Andresen, Bill left the Stones, but he didn't retire! Bill married a 15year old girl when he was in his 50's he was the oldest of the Stones. He still plays in a band he has a restaurant in the UK. He plays music, cause he is a musician, just like the rest of the STONES! That is what they do, Clearly most of the people on this board are jealous because apparently you cant get a girl half your age, cause you are a grumpy old man! That is the difference! These guys have fun and they have a serious business side to them too. But saying that the Stones should have givin up in 88 is so crazy its beyond anything I can think of! They have put out so many great albums since then, all you have to do is buy them! They create new work all the time. They are artists, and they are the BEST at what they do! And age doesn't matter! I don't hear anyone calling BB King to retire! Or Eric Clapton or Paul McCartney... And the list goes on and on. Come on, leave the Rock n Roll where it belongs, it belongs to those of us who WORSHIP IT! Live breath eat and Sleep it!!
Rock N Roll is what it is, and there is no age limit to it. That is another reason why its so great! SO if you don't wanna ROCK! Then get off the boards, and go to bingo or something, I'll be at the next Concert! Take Care!
God Bless the ROLLING STONES FOREVER! xox!!

Dang, what is this world coming to when someone can possibly get kicked out of the Rolling Stones for partying too much? I didn't know that was humanly possible.

First Tiger Woods, now Ron Wood. Mick would probably sing something like, "Some girls like the money,Some girls like the clothes,Some girls will do anything to get some WOOD. That's just the way it goes."

I say he's an azz for ruining his marriage, but other than that....it's his money....and if he wants to buy the girl to make him feel good, and she loves money that much....it's an equal deal!

Soooo ... Ronnie has a "penchant for PARTYING, so the the band is thinking about booting him" .... LOL ... They ALL have a penchant for partying ..... Keith Richards makes Amy Winehouse look like a bloody NUN!... All that aside, The Rolling Stones are the best R&R band EVER!!. Keep on rockin', boys .....
