29 years ago today, one of the most important and influential rock bands in the world announced they were calling it quits. The members of Led Zeppelin were still shaken up by the death of drummer John Bonham, and shared the news with the world in a brief statement: "We wish it to be known that the loss of our dear friend, and the deep sense of undivided harmony felt by ourselves and our manager, have led us to decide that we could not continue as we were."To recognize this day in rock history, our friends at SnagFilms are streaming 'A to Z: The Story of Led Zeppelin' for free, in its entirety. The insightful documentary tells the story of the band's rise to fame via rare photos and video footage. Its a fitting tribute to the hard-rocking legends, and a must-watch for Zeppelin fans.. Have a look after the jump.
