BBC Sound of 2010 Longlist is Revealed

Having been served well by the plethora of end of year Best of 2009 lists, music fans have tnow been given an extra bonus with the announcement of the BBC Sound of 2010 longlist.The Sound of 2010 is designed to highlight the best new music that's likely to make the biggest impact next year and the 15 acts on the list have been chosen by 165 UK-based tastemakers who each named their favourite three new artists.
The top five artists and eventual winner will be declared at the beginning of January.
The longlist has been revealed as

Gold Panda
Ellie Goulding
Huts
Joy Orbison
Marina and the Diamonds
Owl City
Rox
Stornoway
Two Door Cinema Club
The tastemakers are made up of music experts who regularly set the musical agenda and influence audiences and include DJs such Zane Lowe, Nick Grimshaw and Marc Riley as well as music writers such as Spinner's own Rebecca Laurence.
Previous winners have included Mika, Little Boots and the Bravery.

Pleeeeease! This really is made up of some awful acts, and only mildly less offensive than x-factor. Where are the more interesting pop artists...Annie (why so overlooked?), Coco Electrik, Whitey and so many more?
