Former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown took time out to hit out at the British National Party (B.N.P.) at his gig at London's O2 Academy Brixton on Saturday night (Dec. 5).Introducing 'Corpses,' Brown said: "This next tune I wrote about 12 years ago. One thing that gets my goat is a racist girl, that's the worst thing in the world. What do you think of the B.N.P. and that? I ain't got time for that shit. This is for all the racist ladies, not that there's any in here tonight. They have corpses in their mouths."
The gig marked Brown's 10th headlining show at the venue and the occasion was not lost on the singer who told the crowd: "Today is my 10th show here. Let's make it the best yeah, all them little dance moves all them little shakes you've been doing at home, now is the time to put them into practice."
He later told the audience: "We'll see you all again for show number 11."
In addition to the seven new tracks played from his current album, 'My Way', Brown also treated the crowd to a rendition of The Stone Roses' classic, 'Fools Gold.'
