Who Tribute Concert to Feature Frank Black, Bob Mould and More

An all-star line-up of artists -- including the Pixies' Frank Black, Bob Mould, Warren Haynes and Gov't Mule, the Gaslight Anthem and Robyn Hitchcock -- have signed on for a Who tribute concert, slated for Carnegie Hall on March 2. The New York Times reports the gig, which will benefit six music education nonprofit organizations, will also feature the Smithereens, Living Colour, the Postelles, Sondre Lerche, Matt Nathanson and Bobby McFerrin.The diverse lineup is the sixth concert presented by Knitting Factory founder and City Winery owner Michael Dorf, who has honored the music of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Elton John, R.E.M. and Joni Mitchell in the past. Proceeds will go to the American Symphony Orchestra Music Notes, Church Street School for Music and Art, Young Audiences, Music Unites All-Youth Choir, the Pinwheel Project and FIKS (Fixing Instruments for Kids in Schools).
