Grizzly Bear Score Music for Ryan Gosling Film

It's been a busy year for Grizzly Bear. The Brooklyn quartet released year-end critics' pick 'Veckatimest' -- No. 17 on Spinner's Best Albums of the 2000s -- in May, following it up with an extensive and attention-grabbing tour. Now, they're scoring music for the film 'Blue Valentine,' which comes right on the heels of their contribution to the indie band-studded 'New Moon' soundtrack.
According to film and music blog The Playlist and the Sundance Film Festival 2010 website, Grizzly Bear are credited under 'Music' for the flick, which stars the actor (and Dead Man's Bones lead singer) Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams.
Co-written and directed by Derek Cianfrance, the film is "an intimate, shattering portrait of a disintegrating marriage," writes the Sundance description, following a couple "on the far side of a once-passionate romance" as they try to figure out where it all went wrong.
The film was shot in Brooklyn, NY, Scranton, PA, and other locations on the East Coast, and was delayed due to the death of Heath Ledger.
Grizzly Bear's penchant for understated compositions heavy on mood and atmosphere -- particularly on their second album 'Yellow House' -- suggests 'Blue Valentine' will be but one of many soundtrack gigs for the band.

How and why would it have been delayed because of Heath? Michelle was in another country filming Mammoth when he died. Seems like you just put his name in your article to get people to read it.Shame on you.RIP Heath.
