The band were performing the song in a live link-up with the US last Friday (Dec. 11) and let rip with the song's original format.
Shocked presenter Shelagh Fogerty was heard exclaiming, "Get rid of it!" as the band turned the air blue with the song's notorious coda.
Clearly upset, Fogerty said: "Sorry. We needed to get rid of that because that suddenly turned in to something we were not expecting."
She added, "Buy Joe's record instead."
