Weezer have announced that they will cancel all of their remaining North American 'Raditude' tour dates, following injuries frontman Rivers Cuomo incurred in an upstate New York bus crash earlier this month. "Per doctors orders", according to the band's US publicist, the group has scratched four West Coast dates in San Francisco, Irvine, La Jolla and Phoenix, originally set for the second week of January. As previously reported, Cuomo punctured a lung, suffered broken ribs and incurred a leg injury in the bus accident, which initially prompted the cancellation of its remaining December East Coast shows. There have been no formal plans announced to reschedule, but the band's website promises, "we'll try to get back to the cancelled areas asap."
After he was hospitalized for a week, Rivers was released on the condition that he would not fly due to concerns that cabin pressure would cause further complications to his lung. Cuomo, who completed the 2800-mile, 48-hour bus ride home to L.A. this week, chronicled his journey in a webisode called "The Road to Recovery." In it, fans can see the rocker trolling around a truckstop and eating Frosted Flakes. Check it out below.
