Lily Allen has talked about her early 2008 miscarriage while in the public eye and how it was the hardest thing she has had to deal with.
"I couldn't even compute the emotions going through my head, but I was having to put out a press release," the 24-year-old singer told Grazia. "I had this public sympathy for about five days and then everyone was on my case again and I didn't know what was happening to me."
Allen announced her pregnancy by then-boyfriend Ed Simons -- one-half of the Chemical Brothers -- in December 2007 but a month later revealed she had miscarried.
Though she continued recording and putting out music through 2008 in advance of the release of her second album "It's Not Me, It's You" early this year, the performer now feels she did not cope well with the trauma.
"I didn't even start beginning to deal with it until the baby's due date," she explained. "Then it just hit me like a house collapsing. All I wanted to do was talk about my baby but I also felt I shouldn't. I was working non-stop and I had all this inside my head." Allen also stated that she still has therapy to help her come to terms with her loss.
