Paul Weller has said he believes Oasis's split was for the best, and also that he would be open to working with both Noel and Liam Gallagher. Weller told NME.com that he valued each brother "equally" and would not be siding with either sibling in the wake of the band's split in August.
"Creatively, I think the Oasis spit is going to be a good thing," said Weller. "There's going to be some great things to come from both of them in the future. I'd definitely be up for collaborating with Liam and with Noel. I love them both equally and think they're both extremely talented in their own ways."
In 2008 Weller worked with Noel on his double-A sided single 'Echoes Round The Sun' / 'Have You Made Up Your Mind' which also featured Gemma Rose.
Weller's new album, 'Wake Up The Nation,' is set for release in the spring and features contributions from My Bloody Valentine's Kevin Shields. His busy diary also includes a four-night stint at London's Royal Albert Hall from May 24-27.
