Glenn Danzig Reunites With Former Misfits Bandmate

Misfits fans got a special gift this holiday season, when the evil one himself, Glenn Danzig performed at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, N.J on Saturday. Danzig was the headliner for the night, but with former Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein's band, Gorgeous Frankenstein, opening up, the real story was the encore.Doyle's band and Danzig previously toured together in 2007, playing several impromptu Misfits tunes at the end of Danzig's set, so when the lineup for the Sayreville show was announced, rumors immediately began to circulate about a potential Misfits reunion.
Following a strong showing by Gorgeous Frankenstein, Danzig took the stage and performed an energetic set that included early favorites 'Mother,' 'How the Gods Kill' and 'Do You Wear the Mark' and a dozen or so others. Glenn may have lost a few strands of hair, but his live show was as evil as ever.
When Danzig left the stage, the crowd began to chant "We want Doyle" until the former bandmates returned together with Danzig's band to perform Misfits classics 'Skulls' and 'Die, Die My Darling.'
Danzig is currently working on a new album, slated for 2010. The band's current lineup features former members of Type O Negative, Ministry and Prong. Check out a clip of Danzig and Doyle performing 'Die, Die My Darling' below.
