Online speculation has increased over the possibility that Blink-182 will headline the 2010 Reading and Leeds Festivals after it was confirmed that the reuinted punk trio are to play two German events next summer.According to an official Twitter post that redirected fans to the band's Pickrset page, Blink-182 will appear at the Area 4 Festival on Aug. 21 and Highfield Festival the next day.
Given that the Reading and Leeds Festivals take place the following weekend (Aug. 27 - 29), speculation is now rife that Blink-182 will take pole position at the event. The festival's organisers have yet to make any comment either way.
As previously reported, Blink-182 regrouped personally after drummer Travis Barker survived a plane crash with DJ AM in August 2008 before the band appeared onstage together for the first time since 2004 at the 51st Grammy Awards in February this year. Since then, Blink-182 have been writing and recording new material.
