Lady Sovereign and MC Hammer for 'Celebrity Big Brother'?

With Channel 4 getting ready to wind up reality series 'Big Brother' next year, speculation is mounting that rappers Lady Sovereign and MC Hammer are among those taking part on the final 'Celebrity Big Brother' which is due to start this Sunday, Jan. 3.A High Court judge last week banned singer Boy George from taking part following a complaint from the Probation Service.
It has emerged that this year's contestants -- also rumoured to feature Pamela Anderson and former Hearsay singer Kym Marsh -- will face a decor based on Dante's Inferno and Jean-Paul Sartre's proposition that "Hell is other people". To this end, producers have created an interior that includes animal skulls, weird sculptures and a kitchen inspired by a hospital morgue.
"The famous line from Dante's Inferno is 'Abandon hope all ye who enter here', which has inspired much of what we have done to the house," said executive producer Shirley Jones.
She added: "When the celebrities arrive on Sunday night, they will definitely wonder what is in store for them."
Previous contestants have included Take That's Mark Owen, The Ordinary Boys' Preston and Dead or Alive singer Pete Burns.

This couldn't be the US Version. Big Brother here always airs in the Summer. And every one is right. This looks like a bunch of losers. Don't bring it over here. I watched Apprentice UK and it was pretty good but this looks terrible.

January 01 2010 at 11:43 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyPlease let it be Great Britain's version...leave Big Brother USA just the way it is...with ordidnary people who are not publicity seekers...just people who could use $500,000...I'm just saying...

Celebrity Big Brother spun out of the GB version, and I've heard before about how that series' next season is supposed to be the last. I wouldn't mind Celebrity Big Brother staying over there, either. Though I think the British get credit for starting Big Brother to begin with (and it's that original series that's ending in '10), I like the normal American BB better than the idea of a Celebrity version...
