MGMT and Duran Duran are among the artists set to appear on an upcoming David Bowie tribute album compiled to benefit War Child UK. Duran Duran broke news of their involvement in the Manimal Vinyl project, which is expected in May, on New Year's Day via their official website. Then, over the weekend, TwentyFourBit revealed that MGMT will also join the charity initiative. While there's no word yet on what Bowie tune Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden will tackle, Duran Duran have pledged to reinterpret Bowie 's 'Lodger' romp, 'Boys Keep Swinging.' Meanwhile, Manimal, which has previously done tributes to the Cure and Madonna, is also promising tracks from Carla Bruni ('Absolute Beginners'), Soulwax (TBA), Devendra Banhart's Megapuss ('Sound + Vision' in Spanish) and a collaboration between Swahili Blonde and former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante ('Red Money').
