While we really don't hear Kravitz vocals on the snippet since it ends right before the second verse, the story makes some sense, as Spinner published a letter that Kravitz wrote about the King of Pop shortly after his death. "I got to work with Michael on a track that has not been released and it was the most amazing experience I've had in the studio," Kravitz wrote. "He was funny. Very funny and we laughed the whole time."
There has been no confirmation that 'Another Day' will officially be released to the public. However, it is the second song to leak from Jackson's archive of unreleased music. In July 2009, a snippet of 'A Place With No Name,' Jackson's version of America's 1971 hit, 'A Horse With No Name,' leaked to the web.
UPDATE: In a video posted on TwitVid, Lenny Kravitz said he isn't responsible for the leaked song as his copy "has been locked up in a vault," and that the two DJs who are name-checked at the beginning of the leaked snippet played no part in the actual recording of the song. "The version that is out is a minute-30 seconds of the track, not mixed, but it is the track," Kravitz said. "The song was recorded by Michael himself, I produced it for him, I wrote the song and I played all the instruments." Kravitz adds that he hopes the fans eventually get to hear the song in its entirety "the way Michael and I had intended it to be." Check out the snippet of 'Another Day' below.
