OOo meow--in rgerad sto why common folks aren't asked about marriage--because you don't make millions a year--and he woman was asked a question and she answered it--and hello--even so called common folks marriages don't last that long -- with a fifty-fifty divorce rate and 6 years tops of longevity in American regarding love and marriage, 12 years is impressive and she has the right to talk about her marriage--or whatever else she desires--so long as a microphone is in her face.
And so what--she is rich and can afford Chanel--more power to her.
Stop hatin'...petty....
Sure, I'll be the first to criticize Tori for being pretensious, wearing hideous stage outfits and frequently coming off pompous in interviews BUT on the flipside, how many interviews do YOU or I do per day? She has to talk about SOMETHING and if she and her husband have agreed she shouldn't talk about their life together (though she does spend a lot of time talking about not talking about it) and most people who read magazines, web and newspapers (not to mention a lot the journalists who write for them) don't know enough about music for her to really talk about more than her production aesthetic or what inspired a song, what IS there for her to talk about? Still, necessity can't erase that she doesn't even try to pretend to be half as interesting as she used to pretend to be. Fame has pretty much devoured her personality and time has rendered her persona irrelevant. I used to hang on her every word and I still own most of her LPs and EPs and oodles of other rarities but I won't buy another album of hers until she pulls her head out of her Chanel scented backside and that probably won't happen unless she can longer afford the perfume.

It's a good start, but I wonder how she'd do in the real world, where there's not always enough money to go around, people get laid off their jobs....it's work no matter who you are and what your occupation is. I've been married 28 years to the same man, why doesn't anyone ask ME for advice? lol.

January 05 2010 at 5:55 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWow, 12 years! Isn't that like 50 in Hollywood years? Let's see what she has to say in 25 years if her marriage lasts that long.
I sure don't need "Deep thoughts" by some kid.
yes--it is like 50 in Hollywood years which is why she should be commended not mocked--and she is over 40--hardly a "kid"...sheesh--jealous much folks...
June 06 2010 at 2:48 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down Replyslightly off topic: tori amos is vern pretentious and conceited. she has talent..in fact, more than most pop stars, but sheeesh what a pompous chick she is. I WENT TO PEABODY TOO..SHE GOT KICKED OUT FOR NOT LEARNING HER SCALES FAST ENOUGH NOT FOR HER RADICAL INTERPRETATION OF DEBUSSY. DONT KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT? DONT WORRY, SHE DOES...tori isn't wise. DONT LISTEN TO HER JIVE.
January 05 2010 at 12:14 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI can't blame Tori and/or her husband for protecting their romantic side; I would do the same thing that they did if I was married, or else they would think that I would be...I don't know...sexually nasty. LOL! Oh, and enough with the ads people. We're just getting sick and tired of them from last year to this year.
