Hole to Play NME Shockwaves London Show

The resurrected Hole have announced they will take part in the NME Shockwaves Shows in London in February. Courtney Love's band will be joined on the bill by Babyshambles, among others. Both bands play on Feb.17 but at different venues, with Hole at the 02 Shepherd's Bush Empire and Babyshambles at Koko.
The Shockwaves gigs begin on Feb. 2 and continue throughout the month and feature shows from Miike Snow, Delphic, British Sea Power, New Young Pony Club, Simian Mobile Disco and the Maccabees.
Love, recently very publicly estranged from daughter Francis Bean, moved to use the Hole name in summer 2009 for what began life as a solo album, 'Nobody's Daughter.' The new Hole are fleshed out by new members, much to the chagrin of those with the band in their first incarnation, which lasted 1989-2002.
Former guitarist Eric Erlandson told Spin magazine "there is no Hole without me," while ex-Hole bass player Melissa auf der Maur said, "You can't take a Hole reunion that lightly."
Love has had a tough few months, even for her. In December, Francis Bean's guardianship was handed over to deceased husband Kurt Cobain's mother and sister, while in October she was ordered to pay thousands of dollars in unpaid maid bills.
'Nobody's Daughter' is due out in early 2010, her first release since 2004's solo effort, 'America's Sweetheart.'
